Adversity United is a new Harrogate based football club for primary school children, geared to help disabled boys and girls play their favourite sport. The brainchild of 16 year old Cameron Osburn has won the support of his school Harrogate Grammar and Arrow Digital is proud to be involved with sponsorship and support with social media.
Cameron’s goal is to help children engage in sport and build confidence before they move up to secondary school. He’s already had a great response and is excited by the prospect of helping to change young people’s lives.
‘Living with Cerebral Palsy, I know having a disability doesn’t impact the passion you have for sport; you just need to find a way to play it. Adversity United is about bringing boys and girls together who love football but can’t access it through the conventional clubs. Whether you’re physically disabled, have learning difficulties or are on the autistic spectrum this is a club for everyone,” says Cameron.
“Cameron is an exceptional and inspirational young man. From the beginning he has been able to provide an environment where the children have thrived, grown in confidence but most importantly laugh and smile. It’s a privilege to work with Cameron to help him realise his dreams and those of the children involved.”
